I’ve been using the Spirit Spin 1000 for light setups, mostly for trout and perch, and I’m honestly impressed with how well it performs for the price. It’s really lightweight (under 200g), which makes a huge difference during longer sessions — no wrist fatigue, even with a UL rod. The drag is surprisingly smooth for a budget reel. I’ve had a few decent fish on and it held up just fine, no jerking or weird tension jumps. The CNC handle feels solid, and the EVA knob is comfortable to grip, even with wet hands. Casting is great thanks to the long-cast spool — I’ve been getting more distance than expected with light lures. Line lay is clean, no wind knots or tangles yet, and it feels decently balanced on the rod. Overall, for light spinning and finesse fishing, this reel punches above its weight. Good build quality, smooth performance, and it doesn’t feel cheap in the hand. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a solid all-rounder for UL work without spending a fortune.
