I had 13 Carp on this rod weighing from 9 lb to 15 lb ...well well able for the stress with good length for snags ... a little bit on the heavy side if you are hand floating with the rod ...excellent test curve for 1.5 lb would definitely recommend this Carp float rod for the price paid
