The rods are built on a lightweight, high modulus 24T carbon blank with a sharp, progressive casting ability with fast recovery. Thanks to the telescopic handle, the transport length is reduced to just 125cm. Whether you are casting far with weights and PVA bags or fighting a large carp, with the Bionic rods you always stay in control. I own many type of carp rods, from 1.5lb tm 3lb. Also several lb class multi-part travel rods. Personally I especially like the rods with a light action, because I never cast with lead heavier than 120gr. and actually I prefer to fish with 60 - 80 gram lead if possible. That will be the case with these 10ft. 2.75lb rods will not be a problerm. They are very close to my favorite 2.5lb rods (thick walled!) and they fish great even in a hook & hold situation. Unfortunately, regarding length, these are awkward to carry in a full car with family. This retractable, slightly shorter type of rod fits (reasonably) in the width of the trunk. Hopefully they will bring me more fishing pleasure this season. Oh, the price I paid for it was one with daily discount and 10% birthday discount on my entire order with other products. Bought for a local still water to sneak into tight swims under trees and to poke through Reed beds, so I did not want anything expensive in case I damaged them. So I was recommended the Bionic extractors, and I have to say, they have become a favourite rod. The action and fish playing ability is perfect, no hook pulls so far, in weedy, tight swims. They cast a small PVA bag easily, and a 3oz lead flies to 80m, and more. But these rods really excel at close range, delicate fishing against weed beds, pads and snags. Fittings are great and the Eva handle with rubber cork trim looks and feels great. Highly recommended.
