Very nice/good rod. 2.40m with a casting weight of 2 to 8gram is good for flake fishing. Rod, bag and done. I currently have a slightly underweight size 1000 reel on it of 175gram. I have another 225gram 1000 that will be better balanced. With the 175gr one, the rod is a bit top heavy, although the longer handle (against forearm) makes up for that. The rod bends nicely and is faster than I expected (the faster the better, I personally think). Even on small fish this rod gives nice sport, but also gives the feeling of being able to handle much larger fish. Ruis roaches 35cm very nice! Can't wait for the first Windes and Carp. In two words: SUPER PURCHASE Setup: Trout Special 2.40 - size 1000 reel - 0.17mm Shimano Aero nylon (even carp need to come in without tricky hassles and the rod can handle this just fine).
